That's why we do what we can to get involved with local charity fund raising events. And October was HUGE for us this month in that department. We were thrilled to be able to be a part of several great causes:

This year's Hollywood Halloween Fund Raiser for the Des Moines Playhouse was the most extravagant yet. We had so much fun arranging a movie themed centerpiece for one of their many banquet tables. The entire room looked incredible and it was for such a great cause! They even let us donate an auction package, so we'll be doing a lot of baking very soon!

We were thrilled to be a small part of the Beacon of Life Charity Auction on October 18. This local charity is dedicated to providing transitional housing to Des Moines women in need.
We were able to donate goods to be auctioned off at their Art and More Auction.

The week of October 15 we were honored to be the only Iowa business involved in the National Cupcakes for a Cause fund raiser. This organization supports children living with cancer. Fifty cents of every cupcake we sold that week went straight to the charity!

We really can't believe it, but we are already opening another location! Christine has decided to open The Carefree Cafe in the center court of  Valley West Mall! We plan to open in the middle of the month!

This year we were thrilled and honored to be invited back to the Iowa State Fair to help with the world famous Butter Cow. In addition to the cow, we also helped build Harry Potter - out of butter! Now that's magic!!
